One of the bigger hurdles to charities trying to help people with disabilities or aging is transport. Specially adapted and suitably sized vehicles are needed for a myriad of tasks – day to day transport to medical appointments or activities and more.

Over recent months, Community Bank Epping have been able to help two local organisations with funding towards the cost of a new vehicle. Bank chair, Craig Gallagher, and other directors visited both organisations recently to learn more about how the new cars will help makes lives better.

Allowah

A dedicated home for severely disabled children in Dundas, Allowah helps our most vulnerable live their best lives. Getting them out and about – whether for appointments, education or outings – enhances and transforms their living. A specially adapted car is now helping make this possible.

CCA NSW

Located in Eastwood, CCA is one of the most active charities in our area. Amongst many different activities they run, CCA assists local elderly residents with essential transport. Whether it is to visit the doctor, access shopping and other resources, a new adapted car allows them to maintain these critical services.
