In December 2023, Community Bank Epping are celebrating twenty years since our community bank was founded.
On 1 December 2003, the bank opened at its first location in North Epping following a sustained campaign by local residents to set up a bank under the Bendigo Bank model.
Now located in Epping Town Centre, the branch has thrived and continues to serve the Epping and districts residents and businesses. We have also had a sustained program of grants and sponsorship that has seen nearly $2 million returned in support of the community. Many projects in and around Epping are testimony to this support and range from local sports clubs and schools to larger capital projects like the new Men’s Shed in North Epping. Many local events also receive annual funding.
Current and former directors, and the branch’s staff came together in December 2023 to celebrate this milestone – which is the product of our dedicated professional banking staff and many volunteer directors over the years. And, of course, the loyal support of customers who choose to bank local.
