Every week, volunteers at the Riding for the Disabled Centre in Marsfield perform miracles. Disabled children and adults have wonderful equine interactions that promotes wellbeing and resilience, and is fun!
Community Bank Epping is proud to be a major sponsor of the Centre and their work. In recent years, we’ve helped fund capital works (solar panels, stabling, and fencing) and we sponsor one of the horses, now known as Bendigo (or Bendy for short!).
So, when RDA applied recently for help to add an additional horse to their stable, they were successful with a grant. Muffin the horse is a smaller addition – more accessible for younger riders and great for Centre ‘meet and greets’. And more horses = more rides! The Centre always has a long waiting list.
Four of our directors (Craig, Ian, Edmund and Victor) recently visited the Centre to meet Muffin and catch up with the wonderful RDA crew who make the magic happen.
