Epping is lucky to have the chance to be involved with local choirs and bands with music in 2026. Adults and children can learn instruments, sing and be part of musical ensembles from small bands through to larger orchestras.
Two recent grants have helped increase these opportunities with music in 2026:
Macquarie Singers: A large, non-audition choir, this group has outstanding public performances twice a year. A wide range of singers participate under expert guidance, practicing weekly. Our regular sponsorship assists with covering costs.
Their most recent concert was called At Twilight. They will have another concert towards the end of the year at Turramurra Uniting Church. Go to mus.org.au for more information and ticket sales.
Epping West Public School bands: The school P&C approached the bank for support in setting up a new orchestra as part of their musical opportunities for the children. They needed funding for new instruments and music.
The expanded musical offerings are now performing at various school functions including end of year celebrations.
