Kitted out

Epping is so lucky to have a big range of community sports clubs within easy reach – with opportunities all year for young and (not so) young.

These community clubs work hard to keep fees down. So they rely on sponsorship and grants to replace equipment, help with kit and increase training opportunities. In particular, clubs want their teams to look the part – with game shirts and training gear to help with team bonding.

To help with kitting out their teams, three clubs approached Community Bank Epping for grants in recent months:

  • Epping Eastwood Football Club: Encouraging junior players to start playing is the lifeblood of every club. The Tigers sought funding for new training shirts for the 2025 season.
  • Roselea Football Club: They field quite a number of teams in the senior leagues – a great way to keep members playing for longer. But it was time for a new playing strip for more than 400 players and they needed a grant to help make this happen.
  • Tigers Baseball Club: Baseball is a growing summer sport and many Epping people play for the Tigers in Ermington. They asked for funding for new shirts for their growing player base.

These grants were part of 13 grants given out to community sports clubs this financial year. These have helped thousands of locals participate in sports around the area.
