Riding for the Disabled

We were delighted this year to give two grants to the wonderful Riding for the Disabled Centre in Marsfield. The first was a major solar installation on the roof of their arena. This will power the site, save this volunteer organisation valuable funds, and is good for the environment!

The second project was to fund a new horse so that one of their older animals could retire. He is now settling in and going through training for his new job taking children and adults for rides. The grant will cover this and care for the next three years.

North Epping’s Men Shed

For the last five years, a devoted group of locals in North Epping have worked towards the establishment of a Men’s Shed in the area. From identifying an unused piece of crown land next to the Bowling Club, through to fundraising, planning and design, and then construction, this has been a mammoth effort (and not helped by the Covid years!).

Community Bank Epping were delighted to give the project its initial seed funding – essential money that enabled plans to be drawn up and planning applications to be prepared. Now we have stepped up again with another grant to fund final elements and allow the project to be completed and the Shed to open.
