After a few quiet years due to the pandemic, Community Bank Epping was delighted to return a record amount of community funding through grants to local projects and events throughout 2023. Being part of the Bendigo Bank network of community banks, this funding is a key element of our bank.
In total, over $400,000 worth of funding has gone towards 35 projects being run by 32 organisations in the Epping area. Wider promotion of the grant funding, led to first-time applications, whilst the bank also continued its regular support of local clubs and organisations.
What was funded
It was great to see assistance going to a very wide range of activities:
Highlights of the year included 8 grants chosen by the staff and Board, and a number of large capital projects that will directly benefit improved community facilities for years to come.
Grants in 2024
We hope to continue wide grant support during 2024. The first round of applications is open in January and February and local bodies are invited to submit an application.
